I step out into the rain
And watch as the stain
Is washed away
Purity once where it lay.
The rain begins to soak through my hair
I noticed but didn't care.
Everything was being washed away.

The farmer rejoices
The children yell in happy voices.
The businessman frowns
At all the noisy sounds
The young girl screams in glee
Looking for those rain boots from the shopping spree

I just look up
And let the
Rain wash away
My tears and fears.

Thunder roars and lightning splits the sky
I raise my head up high
Prepare to live the lie
Put a smile on my face
And enter the damned place.

“Oh your face is wet! Have you been crying?”
“Just the rain.” Oh, the power of lying!
